Agency and Programs

Clothing Assistance: Two (2) complete outfits provided free of charge for each individual or family member once every three months.

Food Pantry: A variety of wholesome, healthy food is available once every 30 days.

                      Individuals and families receive the basic ingredients for 3 meals for 3 days

                      = total of 9 meals.  Taxable items, when available, are also included

Financial Aid: Assistance is available a maximum of two times per year for those with

                        disconnect notices on utilities.  Rent and deposit assistance is also

                        available.

Medical Assistance: ISS offers assistance for prescriptions, with the exception of pain

                                 medications, and gasoline vouchers for out-of-county medical

                                 appointments

Turn the Tide: A Christmas event that includes holiday food basket, distribution, and Adopt-a-Family. Established clients may sign-up for assistance with the holidays beginning in October.

Interchurch Social Services is a partner agency of United Way of Knox County. We also

rely on monetary donations for funding to enable ISS to continue to help those in need.

Donating gently used and/or new clothing or household items as well purchasing items

from our Thrift Store also put money back into our account that allows us to continue our

Program.
